The lighting brand's app will also soon add AI-driven learning and created effects.
Yeelight is known for its unique and fun smart lighting solutions for a smart home. And at IFA 2023, the company is introducing even more options. We will take a closer look at all the new additions.
Two new matter-enabled products
First up is the new Beam RGBIC light bar. This is a dual-light combination that is preferably placed on a table top. The second new product is the Obsid RGBIC Light Strip, a charcoal-colored addressable light strip made to stick to surfaces like a desk or cabinet. No pricing or availability information has been disclosed for either product. Both products, like other lighting options that Yeelight introduced in 2023, are compatible with the Matter smart home that was officially launched in 2022.
If you don't know, Matter compatible products can be used with any of the major smart home platforms, including Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Home. That can make creating a smart home easier for users because they don't have to be tied to a particular ecosystem and range of products.
An improved Yeelight Station app
A number of improvements are also in the pipeline for the companion app, Yeelight Station. New AI-driven learning tools and generated lighting effects will arrive in the Graffiti Studio in October. That feature will be available for all Yeelight products. The app also adds more functions to the Yeelight Cube Smart Lamps. The modular cube lamps are available in three versions and are designed to bring some flair to your desktop. We've previously reviewed the unique Matter compatible system and enjoyed all the fun configurations available. Cube users will soon be able to see real-time fan counts from YouTube and Twitch.
More fun and unique smart lighting products from Yeelight
The smart lighting market continues to mature with a plethora of options from various companies. But Yeelight certainly stands out with its growing line of unique and Matter-compatible products.
